Web Content Development
What I do is empower companies to meet Web-based
consumer information expectations. My services range from offering
advice to implementing entire Web sites and long-term strategies.
My goal is to make make my customers self sufficient and capable of
maintaining their own Web sites. I see myself as an educator and
mentor as much as a consultant.
Imagine a beautifully bound book with an intriguing
title, but when opened there is nothing printed on the pages. A
beautifully graphical designed Web site that lacks useful content is
much the same as the book of blank pages, pretty but useless.
Glitz is no substitute for content. What users of the Web want
when they visit a business Web site is information and lots of it.
They may want to buy something and want detailed descriptive specifics
about the merchandise including text, graphics, audio, and video.
Consumer pre-purchase expectations generally exceed the content provided
by business Web sites. Post purchase product support expectations
are even higher and the content provided by businesses is even less.
It is doubtful that most businesses have the capacity to supply more
content than consumers have the capacity to consume. The challenge
for businesses is meet consumer content expectations.
