Frequently Asked Questions

Do you work outside of New York state?

I am available for national and international projects.  Desktop video conferencing, email, Fax, and FedEx erases geographic boundaries.  Additionally, I enjoy traveling.  A typical scenario is that I travel to and meet with national or international clients to establish rapport, perform most of the work locally, and return to meet with clients at the middle and end of projects.

Can you handle large projects that require more resources than a single person?

My network of professional colleagues and I can handle nearly any size project.  Additional professional writers, illustrators, designers, project managers, database administrators, systems administrators, Web developers, knowledge managers, and other professionals are available for large corporate projects.

Do you take on small projects such as personal Web site?

The smallest Web sites I have created were single page placeholders for clients who were developing their own Web sites.  The largest project I have worked on was a 3.5 year development of a corporate intranet for a multi-billion dollar multinational.  No project is too large or too small.

I don't know anything about computers and even less about the Internet.  Can you help me?

My job is help your business profit from the Internet.  It is not necessary that you know anything about computers or the Internet for me to help your business.  What is important to you is that I understand business.  I speak your language.  If I am successful in working with you, any of the technology that connects you with your customers should be totally transparent.

If I put my business on the Web can I be guaranteed that I will produce additional income?

Having your business represented on the Web does not guarantee additional revenue.  Think of representing your business on the Web as you would think about representing your business the a yellow page directory or a magazine advertisement.  Being in the phone book does guarantee that a new customer will call you.  Being in the book may increase your chances of being called, but your competitor may have a larger advertisement or recently added  the letter A to their name so that they may appear in the directory before your business.  If you competitor is listed in a directory and your business is not, the consequences are obvious--you are not competing.  If your competitor has a Web site and your business does not--you are not competing.  You have to ask yourself if your business can afford not to compete.

What are the benefits of representing my business on the Web?

  • Imagine having advertisement for your business where you could tell your potential customers everything about your business without out restriction in length or time.
  • Imagine being able to answer most of the redundant day to day questions you receive from customers without having to tie up office staff or a call center.
  • Imagine being able to change your advertisement in minutes without having to wait until the next magazine or directory publication date.
  • Imagine being able to interact with your customers around the clock every day.
  • Imagine opening a sales channel that is on duty 24X7X365 that automatically scales to meet customer demand.
  • Imagine being able to put every television, radio, and print advertisement your company has ever produced on the Web.
  • Imagine being able to publish your press releases instantly and have them always available.

My company creates documents with Macs and Windows-based computers can you work with these documents?

I can work with documents created with nearly any kind of text editing software from nearly any computer platform.  Furthermore, I can work with documents created in foreign languages and produce documents in nearly any language.

These are just a few of the many benefits Web savvy businesses enjoy.  Call me at 585-670-9707 to discuss how your business can benefit from being on the Web.
