Employment history 

2001-

Internet/Intranet Consultant.  I provided management, technical, instructional, and customer services in the areas of information technology, Intranet and Internet development, Web publishing, and content development.  Additionally I provide customer relationship, e-commerce, and e-marketing consulting. 

Instructor. Small Business Administration (SCORE), Rochester Info-Courses, and The Community Darkroom. Workshops in Web marketing and communication.

2000-2001

Chairman and President of Biztripinfo, Inc., a business travel Internet start-up company.  I was responsible for providing strategic leadership, inspiration, and motivation.  I developed the business concept, articulated the concept into documents.  I recruited and made presentations to business to investors.  Additionally, I was responsible for research and development of new products and services.    
1997-2000
Senior Network Computing Analyst.  Frontier Communications and Global Crossing.  My strategic mission was to build a corporate intranet and demystify Web publishing and promote it to business units.  When I started there were less than a dozen Web sites on their Intranet.  Over three years the data grew in size to more than 7 Gigs of business critical information published by more than 400 Web publishers on over 1,100 Web sites.  My team grew from one person to 9.  My team’s most significant challenges were our success and working with limited resources. 

During my tenure Frontier and Global Crossing I participated in community service activities including chairing the Information Technology portion of Take Our Daughters To Work Day, created the first user groups, and participated in numerous other similar events.  As part of my community service I maintain a 300 page Web site that is a guide to Rochester, NY at http://www.inforochester.com.
1996-97

1994-95
Authored Government Online, an annotated directory of Federal, state, and local government online services, published by HarperCollins Publishers in August of 1995.
1982-94
Consultant, writer, and instructor in the areas of computer technology, photography, video, desktop publishing, telecommunications, and advertising.
1969-81
Research Associate, University of California at Los Angeles, School of Public Health, Division of Epidemiology, Los Angeles, CA 90024.  Duties included bio-medical research, medical research laboratory management, training, photography, transmission electron micrography, scanning electron micrography, light micrography and electronic information retrieval.  Additional activities included being a team member of an arbovirology expedition to southwestern Mexico to collect samples of Venezuelan Equine Encephalitus virus for research.
